“Mothers know best,”
is what they all say. As for me, well, I try my best.
Call me Yza. I hail from Quezon Province and I love everything about provincial life. The fresh air, the people, the quiteness and the simplicity of it…
I’m a homebody, but I also like exploring new places, finding new places to eat and organizing family trips. I’m a bookworm, a fashionista wanna-be, a music lover, and a dreamer.
I read whenever I can. Some of my favorites are The Harry Potter series, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children series, and any of Stephen King’s books. I like horror stories, mostly because my birthday’s on November 1st. Yup!
I have seven siblings and I am the eldest. Being in charge and organizing is my second nature.
I met my husband in Singles for Christ. He is currently working abroad in the Middle East. Sure, long distance relationships are hard. We have fights and I have my crazy moments. But, I know we are going to make it because he’s the greatest. We are blessed with two lovely daughters who are carbon copies of their dad.
I believe being a mom is my true calling. It’s the greatest, don’t you agree, mga momshies? Although sometimes my kids drive me crazy, I wouldn’t change a single thing. I finally understand what my mom meant when she said, “Maiintindihan mo rin paglaki mo.” (“You’ll understand when you’re older.”) (I’m sorry for being a pain, Mom)
Being a mother sure is exhausting, it’s a 24/7 job, but I love every minute of it! My life is far from perfect, but I try to be grateful for everything life gives me and just enjoy it. Life is short, kids grow up fast, so let’s not take it for granted.
Laugh, (or cry— I won’t judge) with me and let’s enjoy a glass of wine together! (Unless you’re pregnant… In that case, have a glass of water instead.) Cheers to being a mom!
